Tamil Nadu Government Accelerates Housing with 28,824 Apartments Built in 3 Years
According to a press release, The Tamil Nadu government has endeavored to build 28,824 residential apartments over the past three years since 2021. They have invested Rs. 3,197.94 crore into this project, which is quite a substantial amount. It’s commendable to see such initiatives to provide better housing for the people of Tamil Nadu.
Since assuming office in May 2021, the state government has sanctioned allotment orders to 37,720 beneficiaries through the “Tamil Nadu Urban Habitat Development Board”.
Furthermore, 3,023 sale deeds have been presented to the beneficiaries. A sale deed is a legal document that officially transfers property ownership from the seller to the buyer. It serves as definitive proof of the property’s sale and acquisition, including the terms and circumstances of the deal. Usually, the buyer and seller agree on the sale price and other relevant parameters before the sale deed is executed.
Further in their press release, it was announced that under the ‘Dilapidated Storeyed Tenement‘ scheme, works are ongoing to construct 9,522 new residential apartments, by demolishing 7,582 dilapidated buildings.
