About two months ago, Department of Stamps and Registration Karnataka launched Kaveri Online Services to cut down the time taken for property registrations. The portal has locations of 250 sub-registrar offices across the state and lets citizens do a host of transactions without visiting a sub-registrar’s office.
So, what are the services you can avail? To begin with, you can now view and get your property’s Encumbrance Certificate (EC) and Completion Certificate (CC) online. Further, you can also determine the market value of your property. Last but certainly not the least, you can register your property online. In this post, we present you a step-by-step guide to do just that.
Step 1: Visit https://kaverionline.karnataka.gov.in and log in by registering as a user by clicking on the “Register as new user’ button.
Step 2: Fill in the required details. You will get a user activation link and the code in your email, while the password will be sent via SMS to your registered mobile number.
Step 3: Click on the ‘Document Registration’ button on the top left section, shown in the picture, to start the process of adding document details.
Step 4: Fill in the required details like the nature of the document, execution date, total number of parties, page count. Save and continue.
Step 5: Now, add the party and witness details. Here you will have to give the PAN details of the witnesses.
Step 6: Next, move to property details and add details about the concerned property. Here you will have to enter the following:
• Movable or immovable property
• Agricultural or non-agricultural
• Revenue district
• Residential or commercial
• Registration district
• SRO office
• Area Name/Apartment Name
• Region type
• Property type
• Property number type
• Property number
Step 7: The next step is to upload the documents. You will have to upload the Sale Deed, No Objection Certificate (NOC), Khata details, address proof, ID, etc. For seeking approval from the sub-registrar office, select the ‘Approvals’ tab and upload the documents. To choose the payment mode, select Consideration Payment Details.
Step 8: You can now view the saved application to check the status.
Step 9: Book an appointment for registration of the Sale Deed. Here, you can select the sub-registrar’s office and appointment date. You must visit the sub-registrar office in your area along with two witnesses.
And you are done!
