Life in RoofandFloor: We’re Like a Family!

Tanuja Senthil, Assistant Manager, Sales at RoofandFloor

I led a nomadic life all through my childhood, moving every two years to a new city with my Dad being in the Army. That nomadic life would come to a halt once I started working. It was my work life that would give me the stability that was missing during my childhood. Like family my colleagues came to be, once I started working for The Hindu and RoofandFloor.

My career began with The Hindu, working in print advertising for more than a decade. I then moved to RoofandFloor, where I have been since its inception.

With RoofandFloor, I started with listings for Chennai, Bangalore, and Hyderabad. We were a handful of people reaching ambitious targets in a short span of time. We were growing, stepping into new cities. We could achieve this because of the great team spirit within and across functions.

Today we are a big team with enormous potential. I support field sales with client closures, renewals, and campaigns. I recollect how, in the beginning, we frantically followed builders for paid campaigns. They were reluctant to work with a new name, but our service spoke for itself, and today the same clients consider us their business partner.

On a lighter note, the other day, I was telling my colleagues in my bay that I had got Jira rice for lunch. One of my colleagues heard only the Jira part of it, I think. In all innocence, she asks, “You’re talking about that Jira ticket right?”. All of us cracked up. You see, she has newly joined us and she “cares” a lot about Jira tickets, a software process we follow to resolve issues pertaining to sales, listings, calling, etc.  Such is the work culture in RoofandFloor, where we are uncompromisingly devoted to the job given to us.

With the spirit of transparency and a commitment to homebuyers first, the days are not far when it comes to a new home, one thinks only of RoofandFloor. “Yes, we can!”
