What is GIHS?

The Great Indian Home Sale or GIHS is India’s first online home buying mela where you can bid on the properties you love at the price you want.

 

What is unique about GIHS?

GIHS is India’s first home buying mela spread across two cities – Bangalore and Chennai. For the first time ever, you can now bid on the properties you want. Get to choose from best projects from top builders, and also get access to discounts exclusive to GIHS.

 

REGISTRATION AND PARTICIPATION

How can I participate?

You need to register first to participate in the home buying mela. GIHS has an array of property options from leading builders in Chennai and Bangalore who are offering exclusive discounts.

How do I register to bid for a property I’d like to buy?

Just log on to www.roofandfloor.com/gihs and click on ‘Register Now’. Fill in your details and you’re all set to bid on the bidding day. Bidding opens on 29 Nov – 3 Dec, 2017.

Is there a registration fee?

No. You can register for FREE. But there is a refundable bidding fee.

How do I know if my registration is successful?

Once you key in your details, you will receive a SMS on your registered mobile number and an email confirming your registration.

How much do I have to pay for bidding?

You have to pay a nominal fee of Rs 999+ taxes to bid. This amount is completely refundable if your bids are rejected. Refunds will be processed within 10 working days.

BIDDING PROCESS

What are the steps to bid?

Step 1: Register on www.roofandfloor.com/gihs to place your bid

Step 2: Shortlist a project based on your requirement

Step 3: Place a bid by paying Rs 999 (all inclusive) to block the inventory

Step 4: If your bid gets accepted, the builder will directly connect with you to close the transaction

How much do I save on a property if I close the deal through GIHS?

You stand to gain anywhere from Rs 1* Lakh and above.

What do I get for Rs. 999/-?

You get to bid on up to 3 properties listed on the GIHS portal.

Can I bid on more than 3 properties?

Absolutely. You can place more bids by paying Rs 999+ taxes again.

What are the mode of payments for paying the bidding amount?

You can pay through Net Banking, Credit Card, Debit Card, and Paytm.

If my bid does not go through, what happens to my money?

Your money will be refunded on / by 31st Dec, 2017.

I already bid for a property. I want to change the bid value now. Can I?

Yes, you can change your bid on a property until 3-Dec, 2017, 12 midnight

How do I change the bid?

Post bidding, you’ll get access to a personalised dashboard where you can view your bids and make changes in case you feel the need.

How many times can I change the bid?

You can revise your bids any number of times until the midnight of 3 December, 2017.

I bid for 3 properties and all 3 bids went through. What now?

You can choose which property you want to proceed with, or proceed with all 3.

My bid has been accepted. How long do I have before I place the booking amount?

You have a window until 15-Dec, 2017 to book the property, through the builder.

How long is the bidding value valid?

The accepted bidding price will be valid until 15-Dec, 2017.

Will I get calls from builders?

Your information will be shared with the builder only when your bid is successful.
