Why popularity?
Whether it is a news portal or an e-commerce site, the first thing that grabs our attention is the “most popular” lists. We often like to see what others are reading or buying online.
“The popularity feature is a navigation tool for homebuyers to see the trending projects in their cities,” says Ujjwal Joshi, Senior Product Manager, RoofandFloor.
“Today we are inundated with properties online, and having a go-to list of the most popular properties just makes the task easier. Also, seeing what others are looking at can make the home buying experience less overwhelming for first-time homebuyers,” believes Ujjwal.
So, how is the popularity score calculated?
A lot of thought has gone behind the rating. RoofandFloor combines several algorithms to determine the popularity of a particular project. These include:
- Total searches for that project
- Visits and sessions
- User actions such as downloads of brochures or TruePrice ® information
All the property listings on the portal are assigned a score that will be updated each week, giving you the latest trending properties!
