Shibori tie & dye 

Tie & dye is a great way to decorate plain textiles, cushion covers, and throws. Use pure cotton or cotton blend fabrics as they work the best in retaining colours. Gather and bind your fabric using a thread or a thin cord. The result will differ depending on what you use for binding. Place the fabric in a vat dye, rinse, and dry.

Paper quilling 

Paper quilling is the technique of rolling narrow strips of paper into 3D shapes. All you need to do is to take paper, either craft paper or newspaper and cut them into thin strips. Roll the strips and pinch them to make shapes like flower petals. Finally, glue these together to form the shape you want. This can be used to decorate picture frames, gift boxes, and walls.

String lampshade

This is a simple way to make beautiful lampshades. Use a blown-up balloon as a mould. Dip the strings (cotton) or twine in glue and wrap them around the balloon. When the glue dries, remove the balloon, and there you have it – a beautiful hand-made lampshade. Interesting, isn’t it?
