TNHB, or the Tamil Nadu Housing Board, helps people from low-income families, other low-income groups, and middle-income groups find cheaper housing options.
In this blog, let’s learn the latest plans and other information on TNHB Housing Schemes.
Through the Tamil Nadu Housing Board Act of 1961, the government set up the Tamil Nadu Housing Board (TNHB).
The Housing and Urban Development Department of the Government of Tamil Nadu is working to run the Tamil Nadu Housing Board.
The government appoints the chairman and is in charge of the board. He is helped by board members who are appointed from different government offices and agencies.
The Managing Director and other Officers of the Board are in charge of running the business.
More than 50% of the housing units constructed by TNHB have been for the economically weaker sections.
Implementing various schemes, lakhs of people in Tamil Nadu have been able to afford homes.
Due to more people moving to cities, there has been a rise in demand for homes across the state. The TNHB’s tagline is “Housing for All,” which comes from the fact that many people move to cities in search of work.
