Hosur Road in Bangalore is a lengthy four-to-eight lane highway. It runs through National Highway 7, and stretches all the way from the Vellara Junction on Richmond Road, through Koramangala and Silk Board, and up to the border town of Attibele in Krishnagiri, Tamil Nadu. Once peppered with villages, Hosur Road is now well on its way to becoming one of the more developed hubs around the South.

Although living in Hosur Road seems to be a more common feature for those from the IT sector, more families are resettling there as the property rates are affordable, there is a continued development of infrastructure and a great degree of connectivity that has attracted hordes of people from a multitude of professions.

Connectivity

Hosur Road has a great degree of connectivity and accessibility. It is, in effect, a locality growing in popularity. Hosur Road lies close to Baiyappanahalli, the terminal on the east-west corridor of the Namma Metro, allowing for the arrival at prime localities such as Indira Nagar and M.G. Since the Electronic City has been growing as a considerably large IT hub in the city, the development of Hosur Road has also been augmented with as much fervour and effort. The peripheral roads are a great mode of commuting for the residents.

Hosur Road is home to many new residential complexes, a considerable number of restaurants, banks and ATMs, cafes, fitness centres, shopping spots including medical dispensaries, pharmacies and departmental stores.

Being a rather young and upcoming area, Hosur Road shows plenty of promise so far as development goes. There is great possibility that there will be more and more participatory development with the birth of shopping centres and more social infrastructure in the region.
