Hyderabad Real Estate Property Registration 2024

Hyderabad Real Estate: Records 12.5% Jump in Property Registration

The number of development licenses and property registrations in Hyderabad real estate is showing an upward trend in 2024. During this time, there has been a substantial increase in property registrations, which contradicts the recent election scenario and its effects in other cities.

According to official statistics, real estate property registration in Hyderabad increased by 12.5% between December 2022 and June 2023. The Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation boosted its building licenses by 13%, reflecting a favorable trend in the city’s real estate environment. More information on this boom can be found below.

From December 2022 to June 2023, 6,900 permits were granted. When the same time frame was reached a year later, the figure had increased to 7,809. According to a Telangana Chief Minister’s Office (CMO) official, “we saw 2.18 lakh registrations within HMDA limits in the last seven months, up from about 1.94 lakh during the same period last year”.

The surge in building permits and registrations within the Hyderabad Metropolitan Development Authority (HMDA) limits indicates a significant growth in the real estate sector. This growth signifies the region’s ongoing development and growing demand, not just a one-time event.

In practical terms, this means more construction projects, both residential and commercial. The constant increase in permits reflects the government’s commitment to supporting and facilitating growth in the construction industry.

Furthermore, the increase in registrations indicates a thriving real estate market, luring more regional investors and purchasers. Telangana’s real estate industry is poised for an upward trajectory with the Congress administration’s efforts and favorable policies offering a bright future for this segment.

Hyderabad Real Estate Growth Registered in past months:

Property registrations in Hyderabad have totaled 2,18,160 over the last seven months, a considerable increase over the previous year’s total of 1,93,962. This 12% gain reflects an unexpected jump in the city’s real estate activity, demonstrating its endurance and increased market potential despite the traditional election season drop.

Over the last seven months, open plot registrations have also increased slightly, by 7%, from 50,535 to 54,111 from the previous year. Despite the Lok Sabha elections and the implementation of the model code of conduct, this increase occurred. In the last seven months, the registrations department earned Rs 4,670 crore from HMDA and GHMC limitations, a Rs 241 crore rise over the previous period and Rs 270 crore more than the money generated between December 2022 and June 2023. The increase in revenue was extremely favorable to the state’s finances.
