MYLAPORE

Located in the central part of the city, Mylapore is one of the older neighbourhoods in Chennai. It is also called Thirumayilai. It is also regarded as the cultural hub of the city as it is the home of music sabhas (cultural organizations) and musicians. Mylapore is also known for the famous church the Santhome Basilica; and the Kapaleeshwara temple.

Nestled between Triplicane and Teynampet in the West and Royapettah to the North, Mylapore boasts of seamless connectivity to other parts of the city. It also enjoys rail connectivity via Thirumayilai Railway Station, on the Mass Rapid Transit System network.
