Hennur Road

WELCOME TO HENNUR ROAD

Emerging high-profile suburb of Bangalore

Hennur Road is a major thoroughfare located to the north of Bangalore city. The road branches off the main Outer Ring Road at a turn at around six kilometers from the Benniganahalli flyover. It then connects the Outer Ring Road to the airport at Devanahalli.

The construction of the International Airport in 2005 has led to Hennur Road becoming a prime residential and commercial location.

Commute

Outer Ring Road helps connect Hennur Road to the main areas of the city. Public transport is also dependable, with buses travelling to all important locations like the Shivaji Nagar Bus Depot and Majestic from the Hennur Bus Depot. The main bus stop on this road is the Hennur Cross Bus Stop, but there are several other bus stops along the entire stretch of the road.

Majestic is 20 kilometres away, while the Metro station at Byappanahalli is only 7 kilometres away. You will also find cabs and auto rickshaws in this area, but if travelling long distances, then it is cheaper to take public transport.

Lifestyle

Hennur Road only started developing as a residential area after the Kempegowda International Airport was built nearby. There are not many offices on this stretch of road, but you will find many commercial establishments that target travellers. New high-rises are also coming up, but they are mostly investment properties or rentals. Many people who work at the airport live here as it cuts down on their commute time.

This is an area that caters primarily to travelers, and one can find a mix of low-cost and high-end restaurants here, with both local and international delicacies on the menu.

What to Expect

Hennur Road is an up-and-coming area that has only started to develop post-2005. While this area may have all the basic amenities, there are still pockets that require further development.
