The Best Areas for Single Women to Stay in Bangalore

The beautiful city of Bangalore is known as the IT and education hub of India. It’s relatively peaceful and highly multicultural environment makes it one of the best cities to live in India, irrespective of the fact that the living costs are slightly on the upper side.

Over the years, Bangalore has drawn many to its fold, as job seekers throng the city’s often-choked roads, seeking jobs at any of the many IT parks that dot it.

And with this influx has come the independent single woman. Away from their families, single women are now part of an emerging demographic keen in real estate. Bangalore’s crime graph is not alarming. Yet, it makes sense for the single woman to identify the top locations to buy or rent a home.

Indira Nagar

Located in the heart of Bangalore, this locality is one of the poshest in the city. Although the cost of living in this area is quite high as compared to other parts of the city, it is the preferred choice for single working women seeking a good living standard with great connectivity to all parts of Bangalore.

Indiranagar has several markets, hospitals, and entertainment hubs.

Community vibe: A single woman can choose to share a room in a PG or rent a serviced apartment. Alternatively, co-sharing living spaces such as apartments are a hot draw.

BTM Layout

BTM stands for Byrasandra, Tavarekere, and Madivala, and is one of the most popular areas in South Bangalore.

It is located quite close to Electronics City and the ITPL. Traffic is a nightmare sometimes, but the area remains popular because of its proximity to IT hubs nearby.

Koramangala

Located in the South-Eastern part of Bangalore, Koramangala is another popular place for single women.

The area has one of Bangalore’s first malls, the Forum, and a truly cosmopolitan vibe. Although accommodation can be pricey, affordable places can still be found. With 100s of restaurants and pubs, it’s one of Bangalore’s best places to party after Indira Nagar.

Jayanagar

Being one of the oldest localities of Bangalore, Jayanagar is one of the biggest residential and commercial centres of the city. The area has been ranked as one of the most livable localities in the city. There is a certain charm to Jayanagar, which is missing in some of the more newly developed areas.

Ulsoor

Ulsoor is part of the old Cantonment part of Bangalore, with remnants of colonial history at every step. Surrounded by the beautiful Ulsoor Lake, this is a fantastic location to stay in with the heart of Bangalore – the bustling MG Road and Brigade Road – just around the corner. Expect plenty of charm, a laid-back atmosphere, and reasonable prices here.
