“Southern Cities Are Emerging As Vibrant Senior Living Hubs”

Is Community Living Back in Vogue?

Community living is increasingly becoming the preferred option in India as it offers an integrated solution to many urbanisation challenges. It provides the benefit of strategic location, security, amenities, maintenance, and neighbourly appeal – all while being surrounded by green environs.

Strategic location

Living in a well-connected locality surrounded by greenery makes gated communities an appealing option. These communities are often situated at strategic locations, close to the city’s business and entertainment centres. This ensures minimal commuting time and accessibility to shopping complexes, schools, and hospitals.

As growing job opportunities in metros attract more people, demand for housing has increased exponentially. Gated communities and integrated townships also provide an effective way to manage this growth.

Ample amenities

Many gated communities offer amenities that are designed to provide an enhanced lifestyle for residents. Facilities include 24-hour power, treated water facilities, on-site grocery store, property maintenance and much more, which are very important to live a comfortable life.

Reputable builders make sure to invest in modern luxury facilities including clubhouses, fitness centres, swimming pools, spas, playgrounds and sports facilities. They are even integrating smart automation systems for added convenience and comfort.

Safe and secure

Young families prefer community living, as they are more safe and secure. In addition to 24-hour surveillance and CCTV monitoring, only approved residents and guests are allowed inside due to restricted access entry. This promotes a safer place to play outdoors or to take an evening stroll.

Sustainable homes

There is a growing trend among homebuyers towards energy-efficient and sustainable homes. They are aware that homes with reduced water and energy consumption, enhanced air quality, use of natural lighting, and decreased CO2 emissions have a significant impact on the health of themselves and their families. These green amenities, including solar panels, rainwater harvesting, waste management and high-efficiency lighting, are more cost-effective in gated communities.

The communities also complement the growth of smart cities, which are the future of India’s urban planning initiatives. Innovative approaches to housing, transportation and utilities will have to be implemented to make everyday activity and behaviour more convenient.

Strong sense of community

Community living provides many opportunities for interaction. While adults gather for social events, the children can play together. This, in turn, teaches a sense of togetherness among residents. It promises a unique lifestyle which balances privacy, community spirit, and comfort that independent houses cannot match.
