As we end the year 2016 and begin our journey in 2017 we would like to share some interesting data points which would help the home buyers in Bangalore. Our Data sciences team trawled through the millions of searches which were made on RoofandFloor in 2016 by home buyers in on our platform. Based on these searches we have been able to extract the top searched localities in Bangalore and believe that these areas would continue to be hot in terms of homebuyer interest in 2017 also.
The list of areas in Bangalore are as follows:
- Sarjapur Road – With search share of 5.28% Sarjapur Road is the top locality in 2016. This area with several IT parks and great connectivity options this area has emerged as a preferred one among home buyers.
- Whitefield – Whitefield which has morphed into a major suburb over the years had a search share of 3.1% in 2016. This area with many IT parks, Malls and schools have always been a preferred choice for home buyers.
- BannerGhatta Road – This road which is home to several IT companies and IIM, Bangalore comes second in the preferred localities in Bangalore with a search share of 2.8%.
- Electronic City – Closely following Bannerghatta road is the area of Electronic city with a search share of 2.6%. The area is a preferred one because of the presence of many large and small IT companies and also great connectivity options of the National Highway and NICE road.
- Akshya Garden – Akshya Garden also makes it to the top localities with a search share of 2.31%. This small layout located between Electronic city and Bannerghatta road has gained importance because of its great connectivity options to offices located in both areas
- Kengeri – This old locality in Bangalore located off Mysore road had a search share of 2.16 % in 2016.It great connectivity and proximity to upcoming BDA layout making it a great choice for home buyers.
- Thanisandra – This is a locality which has come in focus because of the presence of Manyata Tech Park.This property ends up having a search share of 1.89% in all the searches made by home buyers on our platform.
- Hebbal – Hebbal in North Bangalore has come into focus due to the presence of Manyata Tech park and its proximity to the International airport. It has a search share of around 1.56% of all the searches on RoofandFloor.
- Marathahalli – Marathahalli due to close proximity to the IT Hub of Whitefield and Sarjapur Road ends the year with a search share of 1.31%.
- Chandapura – Chandapura located on Hosur Road has gained importance as people are preferring this area due to ease of connectivity to Electronic City. It has a search share of 1.21%.
There are many other areas in Bangalore having significant search share (> 1%) like JP Nagar, AECS Layout, SingaSandra etc. One look at this clearly shows that the home buying is centred around IT Parks and clusters of Software companies.
