Lying at the intersection of NH-4 and NH-207, Hosakote is a busy town. Once on the outskirts of Bangalore, the locality has now emerged as a convenient place to stay for those who stay in the nearby IT hub of Whitefield. Previously, most Bangaloreans would know of Hosakote for the MVJ Medical College and Research Centre. However, the primary occupation of the people here is agriculture, apiculture and horticulture. Hosakote is around 25 kilometres from Bangalore and is known to be a pre-historic centre. It is famous for its old temples.

Since Hosakote lies on the NH4, driving down to the area is a breeze. The KSRTC and BMTC bus service to this area is also pretty reliable. The nearest railway stations are located at Whitefield and Krishnarajapuram.

The Bangalore International Airport is 42.3 kilometres, and the Bangalore railway station is 31 kilometres from the Hosakote town.

The predominant lifestyle is agricultural. But Hosakote has all amenities–schools, hospitals, banks, and shops. You can find temples, mosques, and churches here. Plus, the area has a lot for history buffs, such as the 800-year old Kote Anjaneyaswamy temple. Recent industrialisation has led to a lot of interest in residential projects in Hosakote.
